Jess Hilton

Substance Program Coordinator

Jess Hilton is a Substance Abuse Counselor and Maryland State Board approved Clinical Supervisor with 15 years of experience in Substance Abuse Field. Known for a nonsense approach and knack for tough cases, she has a proven track record in client satisfaction. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from UMBC.

Throughout her career, Jess has not just worked at various substance abuse and cooccurring facilities but has worked in behavioral research at Johns Hopkins Bayview and presented study findings at the MABA conference in Baltimore in 2011. However, her pride and joy was starting her own business, Wandering Recovery sober living for men, in honor of her brother Joey’s passing in 2011. She sold her business last year to allow more time for family, health and work in the field at MMBHS but is still very much involved in Wandering Recovery, which she is very passionate about.

Currently, Jess oversees the SUD department, working closely with mental health providers and the community to improve the lives of people daily. She recently became a board approved supervision which allows her to work with and mold the next generation of Counselors, which she absolutely loves doing. Outside of work, Jess enjoys fishing, painting, spending time with her kids and reading.
